House rules
A few simple rules
Joy By The Sea is our family's home. These rules keep it lovely for everyone — guests and us included. They're built into your booking, so by booking with us you're agreeing to them.
1. Check-in & check-out
Arrive any time after 3pm on your arrival day. Please be packed and out by 10am on departure day. Late check-outs by arrangement only.
2. Number of guests
Only the people on your booking can stay overnight. Maximum 6 guests including children. If you'd like to add a guest, message us first — we'll usually say yes.
3. No smoking inside
No smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes inside the caravan — this includes the decking immediately around the door. Please smoke outside, away from doors and windows.
4. Dogs
Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome — just tell us when you book. We ask that dogs are never left alone in the caravan, are kept off the furniture and beds, and that you clear up after them on the decking and around the pitch.
5. No parties or large gatherings
No parties, no large gatherings, no single-sex groups (stags, hens, etc.). The park has quiet hours after 11pm and we'd rather not get a call from the warden.
6. Respecting the space
Please treat the caravan as you'd want someone to treat your home. Use coasters, don't move furniture between rooms, and let us know straight away if something gets broken — we promise we won't bite. Honest accidents are part of life.
7. Cleaning on departure
You don't need to deep-clean, but please: wash up or load the dishwasher, put rubbish in the bins on your way out, strip the beds (linen on the floor is fine), and lock up before returning the keys to the key safe.
8. Damage deposit
We hold £100 against the card you booked with. We only charge it if there's genuine damage or extra cleaning beyond fair wear. Released within 14 days of checkout.
9. Park rules
Crimdon Dene is run by Parkdean Resorts and they have their own rules — quiet hours, dog areas, pool access. They're on the noticeboard at the park entrance.
10. Anything goes wrong?
Call or WhatsApp Jane on 07991 018210. We'd much rather hear about a problem than have you go home grumpy.
